Redeeming the Time

(Is 55:8-9; IPe 1:24; Eph 5:15-17; ICor 1:26-29;

 Rom 12:2; Mt 5:48; Jo 1:12-13; Jo 15:4-5; Ro 6:23;

 Jer 17:9; Ro 8:6; Pro 14:12, 16:25; He 12:5-11;

 Eph 4:21-23, Eph 5:8-10; Col 4:5, IICor 6:15-17)

We've started so low, and there's so far to go,

As the days go rushing on by.

Unless we're corrected, we can't be perfected,

Have to focus on redeeming the time.

God calls the weak and foolish ones,

But we are not to stay that way,

Move on to perfection to be born of God one day.

Alone we can do nothing, with Christ we can do all things.

So all the praise and glory go to God.

We've started so low, and there's so far to go

As the days go whistling by,

Unless we're corrected, we can't be perfected,

Using time well is redeeming the time.

"My thoughts are not your thoughts" God says,

"Nor are My ways like your ways."

Turn away from sinning, death is the wages it pays.

Don't let your heart deceive you, a carnal mind misleads too.

The ways that seem right to man lead to death.

We've started so low, and there's so far to go,

As the days go rushing on by.

Unless we're corrected, we can't be perfected,

Have to focus on redeeming the time.

God chastens every child He loves so we can share His Holiness,

Leave old ways behind you, learn the pathways to success.

Come out of the dark ways, come in where the light stays,

For those who walk in wisdom walk with God.

We've started so low, and there's so far to go

As the days go whistling by,

Unless we're corrected, we can't be perfected,

Using time well is redeeming the time.

We don't know what we can do till we try.

We have to focus on redeeming the time.
