Only One Way

The gate that leads to destruction is broad, so many paths will fit.

But the gate that leads to life is narrow and only a few find it.

There are many ways to count Pentecost but only one is right.

There are many theories about Elijah but only one is right.

There are many gospels that men have taught, but only one is right.

There are many changes to the things restored, can any of them be right?

Chorus: ... there are so many ways to wrong, only one way to be right.

So many ways, so many ways, so many ways to be wrong.

And there is only one way to be right, so many ways to be wrong.

Only one way, only one way, only one way to be right.

The wolves that look like sheep teach things that itchy ears love to hear.

But the sheep must hear the shepherd's voice as it rings out loud and clear.

There is just one body, one spirit, one hope that we were called unto.

One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one Father of all in you.

The body is one, with many members, and each must do it's part

To think and speak and judge alike or divisions and splits will start.

Chorus

Children are driven to and fro, when the winds of doctrine blow.

But those who have grown and found the way hold fast to what they know.

So continue in the apostles' doctrine, continue with one accord,

Contend for the faith that was delivered, contend for the things restored.

Hold the traditions you were taught, and the things you learned and proved,

Remember who you learned them from, don't let them be removed.

Chorus:

The gate that leads to destruction is broad, so many paths will fit.

But the gate that leads to life is narrow and only a few find it.
