           I Want To

(Ps 118:24,29; II Ti 2:15; I Th 5:17; Col 1:10; Rom 8:18;

Ph 4:13; Ja 1:15; II Cor 9:7; Pro 15:1; Tit 3:2; I Th 5:14;

Mk 12:30-31; Mt 5:16; Ph 3:13-14,20-21; Mt 6:33; Ec 9:10

Lu 22:25-27; Mt 6:19-21; I Jo 2:15; Gal 5:16-18)

I want to wake up happy giving thanks to God for every day.

I want to contemplate and concentrate to keep it that way.

I want to do the things I know I ought to do.

I need to make the time and take the time to study and pray.

I need to put my mind on, spend my time on living God's way.

I want to do the things I know I ought to do.

I really mean every thing that I say,
Until my human nature gets in my way.

I want to walk by faith when troubles come, I know they won't stay.

I want to ask for strength and wisdom so I don't go astray.

I want to do the things I know I ought to do.

I should be cheerful, soft, and gentle in the things that I say.

I should be patient, kind and loving, put God's light on display.

I want to do the things I know I ought to do.

These things that I say are the goals that I set
I sing them to myself so that I won't forget
I really can't say that I do them all yet,
But with the power of God the goals will one day be met.

I want to seek the Kingdom first now as I strive to obey.

I want to always choose to do my best at work or at play.

I want to do, the things I know I ought to do.

I need to look for things to do for God and others today,

I need to put my treasure where it will not rust or decay.

I want to do the things I know I ought to do.
I really mean every thing that I say,
I have to keep my human nature out of my way
To do the things I ought to do!
